The gala of the Gold 100, organized by Corporate Maldives concludes on Tuesday evening.
The 2020 edition was held at the Dharubaaruge Convention center with the attendance of representatives of some of the major and leading companies in the country.
At the Gala, the 100 leading companies were listed and announced while the latest edition of the event affiliated magazine was released.
The Tuesday evening’s gala was officiated by the chief guest, Minister of Finance Mr Ibrahim Ameer.
Other state dignitaries and high profile socialites were present at the gala event of Gold 100.
In the 2020 edition, two prominent entrepreneurs were acknowledged and awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The recipients of the award were founder and chairman of Rasheed Carpentry and Construction (RCC), late Abdul Rasheed and the managing director of Voyages Maldives, Mr Salah Shihab.
At the Gold 100 gala, the CG Efforts Award winners were announced as well. The CG Efforts is awarded by Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) under three categories; listed, non-listed and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
State Trading Organization (STO) won the CG Efforts Award under listed category while Allied Insurance won under the non-listed category.
Meanwhile, State Electric Company (STELCO) won under the SOE category, which was introduced in 2020’s edition.
