The Maldives Police Service has today signed an agreement with three companies to collaborate on this year’s “Rakka Campaign” program. The signing ceremony took place at the Iskandar Building.
The agreement was signed between the Maldives Police Service and Ooredoo Maldives, Allied Insurance, and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen signed on behalf of the Maldives Police Service, while Ooredoo Maldives was represented by Commercial Officer Hussein Niyaz. Allied Insurance Company’s Executive Director Nasrath Mohamed and MTCC’s Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Retired) Ahmed Saudhee, signed on behalf of their respective organizations.
The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Asim Abdullah, Head of the Malé Police, and Chief Superintendent of Police Hussein Sameer, Head of the Traffic Police and Road Management Division, along with senior executives from the three partnering companies.
According to the Maldives Police Service, the agreement outlines the companies’ support for a range of activities planned under this year’s road safety awareness and prevention campaign. The Rakka Campaign, led by the Police Service’s Road Safety Awareness and Prevention Division, aims to raise public awareness about road safety and reduce traffic accidents across the country.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in promoting safer roads in the Maldives. The collaboration between law enforcement and the private sector reflects a unified approach to addressing road safety challenges.
The Rakka Campaign has played a key role in raising awareness and introducing effective measures to curb traffic accidents. This new partnership is expected to further strengthen those efforts and help create safer roads for all citizens.
