HDC Announces Vibrant Line-Up of Eid al-Adha Activities in Hulhumalé

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced a packed schedule of festivities to celebrate Eid al-Adha in Hulhumalé, continuing its tradition of organizing community-focused events each year.
According to HDC, the celebrations will begin tonight with the lighting of the traditional Eid bonfire and a Boduberu performance. These events will take place at two locations: Rukugandu 1 at 20:30 and Phase 2 Channel Beach at 21:00.
On Friday, Eid morning will feature the Udhiyah sacrifice and a traditional Eid Bondibath (meal) at the Cricket Stadium area following the Eid prayer. Later in the day, a water sports event will be held from 16:00 to 17:30 at the Rukugandu 1 area.
In addition to these events, a series of evening festivities will take place from Friday through Sunday at Central Park and Hiyaa Park in Hulhumalé. Similar celebrations will also be held in Malé at Sultan Park and Republic Square.
The three-day festivities are being organized in collaboration with the security forces, government institutions, and state-owned enterprises. HDC stated that the goal of these celebrations is to foster unity and create memorable experiences for the public by bringing the community together during the holiday.
