Season 2 of Dhiraagu Gamers Guild (DGG), the Maldives’ largest gaming platform, was launched on Saturday at the Dhiraagu Head Office.
The opening event showcased the tournaments and community‑focused activities planned for the year, alongside interactive gaming sessions and a live performance by local band Fenfulhi.
DGG marked major milestones in 2025, expanding its community to over 11,000 registered gamers. The platform hosted 17 tournaments across 13 gaming titles, distributed MVR 350,000 in prize pools, and awarded more than MVR 150,000 worth of giveaways. The highlight of the year was the Dhiraagu Maldives Gaming Conquest held in August, the largest gaming event ever hosted in the Maldives.
The company said these achievements reflect DGG’s continued efforts to strengthen the local e‑sports ecosystem and build a competitive gaming environment.
Looking ahead, DGG aims to elevate the gaming experience further in 2026 with more community‑powered tournaments, expanded activities beyond traditional gaming, and its first international online tournament. The event also saw the launch of DGG’s new Leaderboards, with additional Guild Features set to go live later this year to boost engagement and competition.
During the ceremony, DGG recognized its partners for their support in developing the e‑gaming sector. Premium sponsor Miniso, along with elite partners Villa Mart, MegaChip, and Sheesha, were presented with tokens of appreciation.
DGG reaffirmed its commitment to promoting e‑sports nationwide and nurturing the next generation of Maldivian gaming talent, noting that the platform continues to set new benchmarks for the industry.
