Government nominates six individuals to BML Board of Directors

The government has sent the names of six individuals to the Bank of Maldives (BML) Appointment Nomination and Remuneration Committee, as nominations to the national bank’s Board of Directors.
The names sent by the government are BML CEO Andrew John Heely, Mohamed Shareef, Managing director of Island Aviation Abdul Harish, Consultant at Ministry of Finance Mohamed Luweyz, Director General of Civil Service Commission Murthalo Mohamed Didi and Accountant of Sun Island Resort Mohamed Umar.
It has been decided that three out of four individuals who applied meet the requirements for Board of Directors, and these names have been sent to the committee. They are Managing Director of Cocoa Huts Private Limited Mohamed Abdul Sattar, Managing Director of Tropical Island Holidays Ibrahim Mohamed, and former senior official of STO Ismail Muhthab.
Members will be elected to the Board of BML at the Annual General Meeting on 6 February.
