Maldives Police Services has warned Adhaalath Party not to conduct the tomorrow’s protest “Mayday” at an area not stated on the notice the party sent to Police، or the authority will declare the movement ‘not peaceful’ and break it off.
On the letter، Police stated Adhaalath Party، as the organizer of the movement، has to take full responsibilities of the movement، as stated under Article 23 of Freedom of Assembly Act.
Furthermore، Police stated on the letter that Adhaalath Party will be held responsible of any unlawful acts before، during and after the movement.
In addition، Police warned on the letter that immediate actions will be taken if any unrest، or unlawful acts are committed even within the protesting areas stated on the notice send by Adhaalath Party.
