Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar has met with religious scholar Mufti Ismail Menk who is visiting Maldives now.
According to defence Ministry, the meeting was held at the ministry and the duo discussed about religious extremism. Ministry revealed that Mufti Menk agreed to provide assistance to combat religious extremism in Maldives.
Mufti Menk studied Shariah and Law in Medina and is very popular among muslims all over the world.
