Customs to Launch 'Tradian' National Single Window Platform for Shipping and Freight Services

Maldives Customs Service has announced the commencement of operations for the National Single Window platform, "Tradian," which will go live on April 20, 2025. The platform is designed to streamline the submission of shipping and freight-related information to Customs and facilitate seamless coordination among border control agencies.
Tradian is part of the government’s broader digitalization initiative, aimed at centralizing and simplifying border-related procedures, including services traditionally handled by multiple agencies.
Key Services Offered via Tradian:
- Registration of shipping agents and freight forwarders
- Foreign-going vessel registration
- Submission of vessel arrival information
- Sea cargo manifest submissions
Customs has stated that while Tradian becomes operational from April 20, stakeholders who are not yet registered will be allowed to continue using existing channels until May 31, 2025. However, from June 1, 2025, these services will be exclusively accessible through Tradian, making registration mandatory before the deadline.
To assist with the transition, Customs encourages stakeholders to reach out for support or inquiries via the dedicated helpline at 3334001 or email [email protected].
