A search operation was underway since last evening for a boat from Shaviyani Atoll Maroshi and a dinghy from Komandoo. MNDF revealed that the two missing people from the dinghy were found just past midnight in an uninhabited island in the Atoll after the two swam there as there dinghy went adrift due to rough seas. The boat from Maroshi was found near the island of Fonadhoo as it drifted with the strong current and winds, MNDF added. According to MNDF one person swam ashore and informed the Fonadhoo Police station, while the other was rescued shortly after. All the people rescued is believed to be good health. Though several marine incidents had occurred during the storm last night, no one had been seriously injured. A total of 21 people had been rescued during the incidents last night.
