The president of All-China Women’s Federation، Shen Yueyue had arrived in Maldives، to participate in the Golden Jubilee Independence Celebrations.
Shen، also the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (Parliamentary body) of China، arrived to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport via Hainan Airlines this morning.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Dunya Maumoon، along with Maldives Ambassador to China Dr. Mohamed Faisal and Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Mr. Wang Fukang received Vice Chairman at the airport.
After receiving her، Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon held a meeting with Shen at the airport، before she departed from the airport.
Numerous leading foreign dignitaries are arriving to Maldives to take part in the Independence Golden Jubilee celebration to be held tomorrow.
Foreign Ministry had earlier informed that along with ministerial officials from India، China، Saudi Arabia and many other countries، Sri Lankan president Maithripala Sirisena will be arriving in Maldives to take part in the celebrations.
