Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid paid a courtesy visit to the Acting High Commissioner of Canada Fountain Smith on Monday.
Minister Shahid discussed ways of further enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed his gratitude to the government of Canada for their continuous support for Maldives in the international landscape.
Minister Shahid was joined in the meeting by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel.
Recently, Minister Shahid had various diplomatic missions to UAE, India, US and UK, which included meetings with United States’ (US) National Security Council, speaking at United Nations Security Council, and courtesy calls with numerous ambassadors.
