Court concludes case of terrorism charges against MP Saud in his favor

The Criminal Court has ruled in the case of state terrorism charges raised against MP Saud Hussain in his favor.
The state raised terror charges against MP Saud in July 2017 for allegedly planning the murder of High Court Judge Shujau Usman.
Revealing the news via twitter, Saud said that the court ruled in his favor as they had found no basis to continue the case.
MP Saud’s lawyer Ali Shah revealed that the state had not responded to the points made by the defendant in the trial.
Following the conclusion of the trial, MP Saud said that the state charges were politically motivated and baseless.
If the court had found him guilty, he could have faced a prison sentence of between 17 - 20 years.
