Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Weng Lixin has said that China and Maldives maintain a beneficial relationship with each other.
Ambassador made the remark in a video message sent on the occasion of the Maldives Independence Day. She said that she would work to take relations between China and Maldives to new heights and assured that China would like to strengthen its relations with the Maldives further.
The Ambassador also sent felicitations to the President and the people of the Maldives on behalf of the President and the people of China.
China has always provided assistance to the Maldives in various fields. The Chinese government has implemented major development projects under the previous administration.
