The home of former president, President of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed, Kenereege; the car of MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed, and the office of MDP have been vandalised.
Police said that attacks on the car and the office took place at around 3 a.m. last night.
Deputy Secretary General of MDP, Ahmed Akram told Sun today that two panes of glass on the second floor of the office building have been smashed and the name board of the office has also been damaged.
He said that the house of the president of the party has been attacked with crude oil. Police said that this attack has not been reported.
The police are investigating the attack on MDP office and Ali Waheed’s car.
Tweeting about the attack on his car, Ali Waheed said that the perpetrators are not able to think properly, and they “will come to their senses” someday.
The glass on MDP office building has been shattered previously as well, the last time being on Tuesday night.
