A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Maldivian, the Maldives’ national airline and Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum, India, to facilitate access to vital healthcare services.
This MoU aims to provide ease and add benefits for Maldivians travelling via the national airline, prioritising the health and well-being of travellers.
India is a popular destination for medical tourism for Maldivians, particularly for specialised treatment. Trivandrum is particularly well-known due to the close proximity to the Maldives, and the advanced medical facilities available. Therefore, this agreement will be of assistance to many.
The services included under this agreement are as follows: special discounts for inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) care, 15 percent discount for health packages, 10 percent discount for laboratory tests and radiology services and free ambulance services from Trivandrum International Airport.
In addition to these services, Maldivian has detailed that a specialised customer care desk will be established in the hospital to provide extra support for those who are sick. Furthermore, translation services will be available for the elderly, and individuals with severe illnesses.
For further enquiries on these services, individuals are urged to contact Maldivian airlines or Ananthapuri Hospital.
