The Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed has assured that solutions will be brought about to tackle the difficulties encountered by businesses during Ramadan.
He stated this at a meeting with importers, retail market representatives, and relevant government stakeholders as participants shared the problems experienced in importing and clearing goods during this period.
This meeting was held to review the business market and subsequently prepare for the upcoming month of Ramadan. Key discussion topics include, ensuring adequate supply and price stability of essential goods, as well as establishing a stable system for distribution of goods across the country.
The Economic Ministry stated that these series of discussions are part of ongoing government efforts to provide ease for consumers in receiving necessary goods in an efficient and timely manner.
Furthermore, it would deepen bonds between the government and private sectors, facilitate a stable market system, and improve accessibility to necessary commodities for citizens.
