Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar has stated that the Government will provide financial assistance to families who had sustained the heaviest losses in the fire that had occurred in the Coast Line Hardware building.
Speaking to press, Minister Adam Shareef said the Government will conduct an assessment and research on the losses and will receive a full report later today. He said the financial assistance will be provided based on the guidelines issued by Disaster Management Centre.
The Government had provided temporary housing to 136 individuals in addition to resources such as food, water, clothing and medical treatment. In addition to the Government, private individuals had also contributed to assisting the individuals.
