Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed attended the flag hoisting and guard mounting ceremony held to commemorate Victory Day. The ceremony took place at the Victory Day Monument this morning.
Upon their arrival, the President and First Lady were received by Minister of Defence Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon.
The President and First Lady were accompanied by Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Cabinet Ministers, and senior Government officials. This year’s Victory Day commemorations began with Fajr prayers held in congregation.
