A special ceremony was held in Kulhudhuffushi, to mark Victory Day.

A special ceremony for Victory Day was held last night in Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi City, the birthplace of the hero of Victory Day, Shaheed Hussain Adam. This ceremony was organized jointly by the Kulhudhuffushi City Council and the city’s Jalaluddin School, with the aim of celebrating this occasion and revitalizing the national spirit. The special ceremony held in the city last night was graced by the Principal of Salahuddin School, Naasiha Idrees. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Kulhudhuffushi City, Mohamed Athif, school principals, First Sergeant Abdurrashid Qasim of the MNDF, who served alongside Shaheed Hussain Adam in the military, councilors, and senior officials from various institutions. During the ceremony, the results of the essay writing competition, organized by the Kulhudhuffushi City Council for schools to mark Victory Day, were also announced. Furthermore, students from Jalaluddin School presented a musical drama depicting the events of that dark, fateful Thursday, November 3rd. Through this drama, the students renewed the memory of the heroes who sacrificed for the nation and showcased the greatness of their jihad (struggle). It is noteworthy that this ceremony was an important event held to revitalize national remembrance in the hearts of the younger generation and remind them of the significance of this historic day. In addition, the structure developed by the Kulhudhuffushi City Council in the city’s Bandhara Maizaan (Square) to symbolize the noble example and courage shown by Shaheed Hussain Adam is scheduled to be inaugurated this afternoon. The City Council has invited all residents of the city to attend the inauguration of this structure.
