During the closing ceremony of Viyavathi Conference being held in Laamu atoll, President ibrahim mohamed solih has stated that the allowance allocated for disability people will be raised.
He has added that it is the government’s duty to secure the needs of the people. The process of raising the disability pension has started, and it will shortly be implemented, according to the President.
More over 3600 Maldivians have disabilities, according to reports from the National Bureau of Statistics, and they get MVR 2000 as a disability stipend.
