President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is traveling to UK for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, who pssed away last Thursday. The President’s office reports that the invitation to attend the queen’s funeral was extended to him.
The queen’s burial is set to be on September 19th (Monday), at London.
To prevent cramming the funeral venues, the royal family has asked the leaders invited to maintain a moderate party size. Furthermore, according to the castle, only world leaders and their spouses will be permitted to attend the funeral of the Queen. Fazna, the first lady, will therefore accompany the president to the funeral for the queen.
