Tenants at the Sinamale’1 have reported that all items in their flats were damaged in the fire that had occurred today.
One of the tenants said that his flat housed three children and four adults, but he was the only one in the flat when the fire occurred. He said that he had informed the police and vacated the building immediately.
Disaster Management Centre had stated that the Centre will provide all the necessary supplies.
No cause for the fire had been established, but some of the tenants have stated that the fire had probably been caused by a faulty washing machine in a flat.
