MP Mustafa urges to "lessen" Nasheed’s verdict

MP for Thimarafushi، Mohamed Mustafa has requested Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb to “lessen” the verdict of of former president Mohamed Nasheed who is serving 13 years of jail due to proven terrorism charges.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Thaa atoll Thimarafushi futsal ground، Mustafa said that President Nasheed is a person who will serve the nation in the future.
“I also request to ‘lessen’ the verdict of President Nasheed. I urge [to Minister Adeeb] to ‘lessen’ the verdict of President Nasheed. He is a person who will serve this nation. The political arrestees have not done anything for the nation، in my view.” said Mustafa.
Mustafa further said that the incumbent government has cared and spent for the youths more than any other regime.
“For the youths، the incumbent government has spent، more than compared to last 800 years. I say this with confident. Check the history.“
