India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be visiting Maldives this week.
Indian Media report that she will be visiting Mauritius during the visit to the neighbours of India in the Indian Ocean.
Indian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Syed Akabruddin said Sushma’s first stop during her visit would be to Mauritius from 1-3 November. She will visit Maldives after concluding her trip to Mauritius، he said.
During her visit to Maldives، Sushma will hold talks with her counterpart، Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives، Dunya Maumoon and discuss strengthening of the bonds between the two countries.
This will be the official visit by Indian External Affairs Minister to Maldives.
Sushma will meet Prime Minister of Mauritius Navichandra Ramgoolam، and her counterpart Arvin Boolell، during her visit to Mauritius.
