The Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom along with a team of senior officials of the state body made visits to several islands of Thiladhunmathi atoll on their latest efforts.
Under the Tourism Diversification and Localization tour, the minister flanked by senior officials of the ministry met with industry stake holders to discuss potentials and prospects of tourism industry in the region.
Moreover, as part of the tour which commenced on 18th August, the team had visited and met with industry affiliates and other dignitaries from Haa Alif atoll Baarah, Filladhoo and Muraidhoo.
In addition to meeting with private stakeholders affiliated with the tourism industry, the team had met with respective island councils and women’s development committees as well.
Furthermore, the team had traveled to Kelaa and Dhihdhoo of the same atoll on 19th August as part of the tour where they had met with relevant figures of the industry along with council members and other dignitaries.
