National Single Window Platform ‘Tradian’ Set to Launch Operations on 20 April

The Maldives’ National Single Window platform, Tradian’s services will be officially rolled out on 20 April.
The National Single Window platform was designed and developed under the vision of the President Dr Mohammed Muizzu, and offers a unified digital gateway for local businesses involved in international trade. The platform will provide easy access to essential services from a single platform for importers and exporters.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade earlier emphasised that the launch of Tradian is a key component of President Muizzu's vision to enhance facilities for local businesses. The platform will enable businesses to access services from various government agencies online, streamlining operations and increasing efficiency.
The Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has decided to launch the Tradian platform on Sunday to connect import and export related agencies in a single network, in alignment with a Cabinet decision made on 2 February. With this, some of the services provided by the agency will be transferred to the platform. From 1 June, the services will be provided only through the platform.
Services provided by MPL through Tradian include:
* Foreign vessel registration
* Submission of Vessel Arrival Information
* Submission of Sea Cargo Import Manifest
Meanwhile, Maldives Customs Service has also announced that some of its services will be provided through the Tradian platform from Sunday. Those who have not registered with Tradian by 1 June will still be able to submit cargo manifests and vessel arrival information to Customs as per the current practice.
Services provided by Customs through Tradian include:
* Registration of shipping agents
* Registration of foreign going vessel
* Registration of freight forwarders
* Submission of Vessel Arrival Information
* Submission of sea cargo manifest
Tradian was developed following extensive consultations with the economic sector and Maldivian business leaders, as an initiative between Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and Tradenet Maldives. Tradenet Maldives has held multiple comprehensive meetings to ensure that the platform meets the needs of the business community. The platform was officially launched in September last year.
