His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed visited the Colombo National Museum today, as part of the cultural engagements during the President's ongoing State Visit to Sri Lanka.
Upon arrival, the President and First Lady were received by senior officials of the museum and given a guided tour of its galleries, which offered an overview of Sri Lanka's rich historical narrative through exhibits showcasing the country's history, cultural heritage, and traditions.
During the visit, the President signed the Visitors' Book, expressing appreciation for the efforts undertaken to preserve and present the nation's heritage for future generations. The First Lady also signed the Visitors' Book, noting that the walk through the galleries provided meaningful insight into the stories, traditions, and artistry that have shaped the nation's identity.
Cultural engagements are aimed at fostering better understanding and strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
