K. Huraa Council has announced the lease of 25 land plots from the island for development as guesthouses.
The land plots will be issued from the newly reclaimed area in Huraa.
Out of the 25 land plots, eight have been allocated for Huraa residents only. The remaining 17 land plots are open for the general public.
The bid application form for the eight plots allocated for Huraa residents has been priced at MVR 10,000. It will be available for purchase until 12:30pm on next week’s Wednesday.
An information session regarding these eight land plots has been scheduled for 10:00am on next week’s Thursday morning, at Huraa Council.
Meanwhile, the bid application form for the remaining 17 land plots have been priced at MVR 25,000. It will be available for purchase until 12:30pm on next week’s Thursday.
The information session regarding these 17 land plots has been scheduled for 12:15pm on February 15th.
Local tourism is a big scene in Huraa and its proximity to the capital Malé makes it a popular getaway for the city residents.
The latest census shows that Huraa has a population of 1,654 people, including expatriates.
