Police conducts nationwide ‘Walk and Talk’ initiative

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has carried out a nationwide “Walk and Talk” activity.
MPS carried out the activity simultaneously across different parts of the country to engage directly with residents. Officers met with residents and visited homes to gather opinions, concerns, and feedback about policing and local issues.
The activity held in Male’ area was attended by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan, Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikree, senior police officials, and civilians.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Shifan said the initiative allows the police to identify issues in specific areas and record feedback through a structured mechanism to improve policing.
The programme is part of efforts to strengthen relations and build public trust in the police. MPS said the initiative will support future operations and investigations, noting a previous operation conducted on 28 February.
