Bank of Maldives has announced that Ms. Fareeha Shareef, H. Yellow Rose, has been re-appointed as Chairperson of its Board of Directors.This appointment was confirmed at the meeting of theBank’s Board held earlier today. Fareeha has just completed her first term as Chairperson, having been initially appointed in May 2015.
Fareeha Shareef is a founder and former Managing Partner (2010 to 2014) of FJSAssociates LLP where she currently holds the position of Senior Partner. She is also aDirector of FJS Consulting Pvt Ltd and has been an Independent Consultant of AdamSmith International since 2012. Prior to her appointment as Chairperson of Bank of Maldives,Fareeha completed 6 years as a Board Member of Maldives PensionAdministration Office (MPAO).
Commenting on her appointment, Fareeha said “I am honored to continue as Chairpersonof Bank of Maldives and, together with my Board colleagues, I look forward to helping the Bank’s very positive momentum in any way I can. When I look at the Bank’s performance, it is of course greatly encouraging to see a strong financial trajectory, an increasingly robust loan book and improving customer service.
