Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj is to visit Maldives on the 10th of this month.
Speaking to Media, Indian Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Vikas Swarup stated that this meeting was a two day visit to take part in the India Maldives Joint Commission meeting. He added that in the meeting discussions will be held on expanding the bilateral relations between the two nations and on investment opportunities in the Maldives.
Additionally, discussions are to be held on Indian assistance of specific development projects in the Maldives such as health, energy, human resource development and military assistance.
