Fathimath Nasira, the wife of Supreme Court judge Ali Hameed.
The Criminal Court on Saturday night ordered to place Fathimath Nasira, the wife of the arrested Supreme Court judge Ali Hameed, under house arrest for a duration of 15 days.
Following the detention of her husband under accusations of bribery and attempting to stage a coup, Nasira was arrested February 7 under the ongoing state of emergency over allegedly conspiring to topple the government.
According to her lawyers, the police had sought to place her under house arrest until the end of her trial. However, the Criminal Court had settled on 15 days instead.
Nasira was shifted from detention to house arrest last week, after her family raised concerns over her health.
