Young woman remanded for 30 days for stabbing 64-year-old lover

A young woman arrested from Male’ City on Tuesday for attacking her 64-year-old lover with a sharp-edged weapon has been remanded in custody of the police for 30 days.
The incident, which took place at a private residence in Male’ City, was reported to the police at around 10:05 am on Tuesday.
It resulted in injuries to a 32-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, who the police said were engaged in a romantic relationship.
The police said the injuries include a stab wound the man sustained to his back.
A police spokesperson told Sun that the woman was taken to the Criminal Court for her remand hearing on Wednesday morning.
The court remanded her in custody of the police for 30 days, said the spokesperson.
Police have said that investigative findings show the couple sustained injuries after a lover’s spat escalated into violence.
They were both treated at the hospital for their injuries.
