First Lady participates in walk commemorating International Day of the Girl Child

First Lady and Chief Guide of the Maldives, Sajidhaa Mohamed, participated in a walk held to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child, organised by the Maldives Girl Guides Association.
The programme began with a special ceremony at Aminiya School this evening.
Speaking at the ceremony, the First Lady encouraged young Maldivian girls to aspire to be confident leaders who face challenges with courage, speak up on important issues, and serve as positive role models. She highlighted the long-standing contributions of the Girl Guides during national crises and urged the students participating in today’s walk to carry forward the sense of responsibility and leadership they demonstrated into all areas of their lives.
Following the ceremony, participants walked from Aminiya School to the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE). The walk brought together members of the Maldives Girl Guides movement, including Stars, Little Maids, Girl Guides, Young Leaders, Leaders, former Commissioners, current Commissioners, and senior officials of the Association.
