Doctors have confirmed Nasheed was not injured, say police

Police have referred to doctors and said that former President Mohamed Nasheed did not suffer any injuries in the efforts by the police to take him to court on Monday.
This has been confirmed to Sun Online by the police spokesperson, who cited the report by the doctor who attended to Nasheed yesterday.
The police spokesperson also said that the photo of an x-ray of a person’s hand being circulated on social media, claimed to be Nasheed’s, in fact does not belong to Nasheed.
In court on Monday, Nasheed claimed to have suffered a broken arm and used his tie as a sling.
Police said that Nasheed consulted a doctor at private hospital Medica yesterday afternoon.
On Monday, Nasheed attempted to talk to reporters outside the court as he was being led into the building in police custody. Police said that he was not allowed to talk to reporters, following which he fell to the ground on purpose.
