Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that the government spent 370 million Rufiyaa on higher education in the first year and 399 million on the second year with a total of 769 million Rufiyaa within 2 years. He said that this is a record amount in the history of Maldives.
Azleen made this statement speaking during a ceremony held this morning at Customs Building.
“President does not only talk about the youth because it is written in the manifesto. He is doing many things for the youth and you can see it” said Azleen.
He also said that the government is implementing various policies to establish are peaceful society and many youths are now employed and many are pursing higher education. “ After two, three years we will see the results. Many youths will come back to the nation and start serving in different industries” said the minister.
He said that the people should be made aware of the services provided by the government. He said that the government is doing so many things and because of that they are not able to disclose them to the public properly.
