Education Minister advises caution on tidal wave flooding

The Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham has advised the parents and students to be cautious on any affects caused by the tidal flooding، due to the the lunar eclipse tomorrow.
Noting that every island in the country is relatively low، major flooding maybe imminent، Dr. Aishath Shiham advised the parents and students to be cautious and undertake all the precautionary matters before the flooding.
She further highlighted that all the schools were taking all necessary steps to keep the infrastructure safe from the tidal flooding.
Disaster Management Centre issued a forecast saying that the waves would be 3 to 6 ft high after the change caused to the seas as the moon is expected to be closer to the earth during the eclipse.
The Centre further said that 44 islands of 16 atolls are likely to be affected more than the rest:

Following the forecast، Maldives Police Service and Disaster Management Centre have advised the public to stay away from beach and shore areas during the possible tidal flooding.
