Jumhooree Party Council member Ali Hameed has said that the government collecting information of the personal bank accounts of the people is a big concern.
Ali Hameed said that the financial standards of the people cannot be known by checking their bank accounts. He said that the people should think twice before they give out these details.
“For example Musa might have some money in his bank account. His sons might be depositing to save money for hajj. A rich person might not even have a bank account. So it is problem to check the bank accounts of the people,” he said.
Ali Hameed said that taking personal information of the people by introducing a application form for subsidies while suddenly stopping to give the subsidy given earlier is an act of intimidation.
