Sheikh Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim has stated that the biggest issues in the Maldivian society was on the rise due to the distance from prayer.
Speaking in the session conducted by Maumoon Foundation to enrich the spiritual aspect of Ramadan, the Sheikh attributed all the major issues in the society to distance from prayer.
“I don’t want to say that this is happening due to a certain group of people. Children grow up and learn from parents, then schools and teachers,”
He stressed that if children were taught from an early age onward that prayer was a vital aspect of their lives, then they would not be tempted to stray from the right path.
Sheikh noted that one of the first things we will be questioned about was prayer and appealed all to pa careful attention on completing the prayers.
