Prominent historian Ali Moosa Didi has passed away. He has contributed immensely to the history and literature of Maldives.
He passed away at 7:00 pm in Sri Lanka. He passed away while undergoing treatment at ICU of Lanka Hospital, Colombo. The family said that he was taken to Sri Lanka after having low blood pressure and some other problems.
He is a well-known historian. He faced many challenges in the later years of Maumoon’s presidency. Later he faced many health problems as well. He is the father of national hero Moosa Ali Jaleel. All his other children are also in prominent positions.
His family said that, the members of the family who left for Lanka are still at the airport and he passed away before they could reach the airport. Also, they have not decided on how to carry out the funeral. Ali Moosa Didi was a close friend of Miadhu News and shared valuable information with Miadhu News.
