Islamic Ministry has issued that eclipse prayer will be performed in the whole of Maldives at 00:00 hrs Friday night.
There will be a total lunar eclipse Friday night from 22:07 - 02:12. The eclipse is said to be at its peak at 00:10. The ministry revealed that 'Keytha Namaadhu' (eclipse prayer) will be held in all islands around the country at 0 0:00, at the biggest mosque on site.
In Male' City, the prayers will ensue in the Islamic Centre, Masjid'ul Birri (Vilingili) and Masjid'ul Sheikh Gasim Bin Mohamed Al-Saanee (Hulhumale').
The religion of Islam calls for "eclipse prayer'' as prayer until the eclipse comes to an end.
