President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, currently undertaking the sacred Hajj pilgrimage, offered prayers for the Maldivian nation and its people on the solemn occasion of the Day of Arafah, 1446. In a message shared via his official X account, he expressed hopes for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings for the country.
Calling upon Almighty Allah’s mercy, the president prayed that the Maldives and its citizens be granted “continued peace, well-being, and prosperity.” His supplications sought “abundant blessings of Allah’s mercy, grace, and favour,” invoking divine guidance for the nation’s strength in faith and unity.
His prayers extended beyond the Maldives, focusing on all Hajj pilgrims undertaking the sacred journey. He expressed hope that their pilgrimage be accepted as “Mabrur Hajj,” a virtuous and fulfilled act of devotion. He also prayed that “the prayers of every Muslim be answered” and that believers receive “Almighty Allah’s forgiveness in this life and the hereafter.” His supplications called for the acceptance of good deeds and for individuals to remain within “Almighty Allah’s pleasure and forgiveness in both worlds.”
President Muizzu is accompanied on the pilgrimage by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed, along with a senior government delegation that includes the spouses of select officials. The government of Saudi Arabia has facilitated all arrangements for the president, the first lady, and their delegation throughout the pilgrimage.
