MTCC to launch mosque and police post projects in Maalhos

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is preparing to start implementing two projects in Maalhos, Baa Atoll.
The two projects involve the construction of a police post and a mosque with a capacity of 500 people.
MTCC has said that the implementation of several projects related to the essential needs of the people in the islands has not commenced or is paused. As a result, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has instructed MTCC to resume such projects to address the concerns of the people.
According to MTCC, the projects being implemented in Maalhos will bring infrastructural and social benefits and ease to the Maalhos, which has a population of 770 people.
Over the past 44 years, MTCC has successfully completed numerous infrastructure projects across the Maldives.
