President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, has today appointed, Ms. Dunya Maumoon as State Minister of Ministry of Health.
Dhunya Maumoon was the first Foreign Minister of present government. She resigned the post criticizing establishment of capital punishment in Maldives. Still Government has not withdrawn capital punishment.
Few days ago Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that government is making all arrangements to start capital punishment in Maldives.
At the time oh her resign, there was an internal divide in PPM between supporters of President Maumoon and President Yameen.
