The World Bank is committed to help the Maldives government on a number of areas such as renewable energy, waste management and public finance management, says The World Bank Director to the Maldives Dr. Idah Z. Pswarayi-Riddihough.
She gave his assurance assurance during a courtesy call paid on Maldives Vice President Faisal Naseem at the President’s Office on Monday.
The World Bank Director gave the assurance in reference to the constructive partnership that already exists between the Maldives and the World Bank.
Director Pswarayi - Riddihough and VP Naseem discussed some of the development issues and challenges faced by the Maldives and on ways to move forward.
During the call, VP Naseem expressed gratitude on behalf of the government for the World Bank’s efforts into the development of Maldives over the years, having thanked the Director for her suggestions in regard to further development cooperation.
Expressing her honor to have met the Maldives VP, the World Bank Director expressed her gratitude for having given her the opportunity.
