R. Kandholhudhoo، Husnuheenaage Moosa Ali Kaleeygefaanu has taken oath as a member of Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM).
Moosa Ali Kaleygefaanu took his oath a special ceremony held today at the President’s Office.
The oath of office was administered by Interim Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed.
As soon as the oath was taken، the letter of appointment was presented to Moosa Ali Kaleygefaanu by His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
The parliament passed the appointment of Moosa Ali Kaleygefaanu last Monday. He was appointed with the vote of 45 members of parliament.
While the parliament has given consent to appoint Moosa Ali Kaleygefaanu، the committee has refused to do so due to an alleged case of corruption on him.
Three more members were appointed to HRCM by President Yameen within last week as well.
