Foreign Secretary Dr. Ali Naseer has stated that events carried out by private parties contributed to stronger relations between citizens.
He made the statement speaking in the opening ceremony of the “India Taste- Bollyfood Fest”, which is organized by Hotel Jen.
Dr. Ali Naseer stated that events carried out by private individuals were more effective than the Government led initiatives, in promoting bilateral relations.
Speaking in the ceremony, Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, Rajiv Shahare thanked the management of Hotel Jen and especially Hotel Jen’s General Manager Vathsala for organizing and carrying out the fest. He assured that the Commission will support and promote such initiatives, whether they are run by the Government or by individuals.
The Festival will be held until Friday, open to all from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm.
