Ibu asserts credibility of electoral pledges as he vows development for Thaa, Laamu

Opposition coalition's presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (Ibu) on Tuesday reassured the credibility of his electoral pledges and guaranteed befitting measures to fulfil all of them.
Speaking at the campaign office in Isdhoo, Laamu Atoll where he was welcomed with a traditional reception, Ibu stated that he will bring to completion the 2.5-kilometer causeway bridging the islands of Isdhoo and Kalaidhoo. He extended his assurance that in the coalition government, the harbour of the island will be expanded to accommodate the nine fishing boats and four other sea vessels that travel between capital Male and Isdhoo.
Moreover, Ibu pledged to introduce bank services to Isdhookalaidhoo and provide solutions to the numerous housing problems faced by the people of the island.
Furthermore, Ibu gave his word to connect the island of Dhanbidhoo with IsdhooKalaidhoo that share the same lagoon. During stops made in Thaa Atoll prior to the campaign trail continuing to Laamu, Ibu had pledged to connect the islands of Veymandoo and Kinbidhoo as well.
"Pledges made in accordance to solve the problems faced by the people of Isdhoo will be fulfilled," said Ibu.
Additionally, he vowed to broaden the field of agriculture in the Maldives and to find better expenditure for different types of agriculture. He also stated, should he win the upcoming elections, that he will explore feasible measures to export Maldivian products to other countries.
"Agriculture will be a profitable business in the market of this country," said Ibu, further adding, "Resorts, especially, are in dire need of local products. The Maldives require good quality and quantity."
"We have effectively planned and proposed to expand the Fishing and Agriculture industries in the Maldives," said Ibu.
