In celebration of the 34th National Writers' Day, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended greetings to the nation's writers, encouraging them to uphold the truth, use respectful communication, and share ideas and narratives that benefit both individuals and society, now and in the future.
In a post shared on X, the President highlighted that Islam is a faith that promotes education, the sharing of accurate information, and the advancement of writing. He called upon Maldivian writers to act as a trustworthy collective whose work inspires national pride and contributes to the country's prosperity. He also expressed his prayers for continued success and blessings upon the work of all Maldivian authors, both past and present.
First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also took to X to mark the occasion, extending her well wishes to all those who contribute to the growth and enrichment of Maldivian literature.
