Bank of Maldives (BML) has taken a significant step toward supporting students with special needs by funding the upgrade of Special Education Needs (SEN) facilities at Sala'huddheen School in Hulhumale’ and Hiriya School in Male'. This initiative benefits nearly 200 students and includes extensive classroom refurbishments and the provision of specialized educational tools.
The upgrades aim to foster an inclusive learning environment that allows students to thrive and develop their individual abilities. These improvements are expected to have a long-lasting impact on both the students’ learning and overall development. The specialized tools are designed to cater to the diverse needs of students, helping them achieve their full potential.
This development is a part of BML’s broader commitment to community investment, which includes providing educational resources to 40 schools across the nation. The Bank has also extended its support to other schools, including the establishment of a therapy room at Imaduddin School and the modernization of computer laboratories at schools across the atolls.
BML’s continued investment in the education sector reflects its dedication to supporting local communities and ensuring that all students, regardless of their needs, have access to high-quality educational opportunities.
